Jean-Pierre Braganza for Spring/Summer ‘08.
Born in London to an Irish mother and Asian father, Jean-Pierre Braganza moved to Canada as an infant. He grew up in Montreal and then moved to Toronto as a teenager. He enrolled at University studying Fine Arts, specialising in painting, before realising that fashion was his true calling. His studies began at Canada’s foremost fashion college before moving to London with Central St. Martin’s College in his sights. He was accepted into the second year of the Womenswear program under special circumstances due to his advanced skill. He excelled, winning the Colin Barnes award for illustration in his final year and receiving a first in the main area of study.
Jean-Pierre Braganza has been showing in London since 2004. He graduated from Central St. Martin’s College, and then went on to work for Roland Mouret. Since launching his label he has shown his collections in Lithuania, Japan, Spain, Berlin, and Singapore.
