Ute Ploier for Spring/Summer ‘08.
Ute Ploier, graduated from the University of Applied Arts of Vienna, has been successfully establishing her menswear label since 2003, with much encouragement from her professor and mentor Raf Simons. The same year, she was awarded the menswear award during the Hyères Festival in France.
January 2004 marked her debut in Paris when she showed her AW 04 05 collection at the UCAD during the Paris Fashion Week. Her creations reflect a critical analysis of modern man’s armour, the suit, and all that evolves around it : role play, social connotations and issues of masculinity (like her “Pioneers” or “Charming Crooks” collections). Her designs feature dress codes and elements from different social standings while remaining wearable and most of all comfortable. Unusual textile combinations and manufacturing techniques are at the basis of her designs.
Each collection is a story in itself. Ute Ploier is not a formal designer.
For her, fashion is all about a concept constantly in tune into our time.

That Morrissey tee is fantastic. Who carries this line?
Good question.
Try:
Famous Friends (New York)
Reborn (Montreal)
b Store (London)
If you want something from this collection you’ll likely have to order it by phone.
The Morrissey tee is just a knock-off of the Obey tee, which is an even worse knockoff of the Kelly D Williams x Kreativ Network tee.
