Nada Go-Go is a t-shirt line by the design agency Syrup Helsinki. The cryptic tribal prints are featured on American Apparel t-shirts. I appreciate the designs, and I understand conspicuous consumption is “in”, but at 75EUR for a bloody American Apparel shirt, Nada Go-Go needs to develop a new business plan.
The mask, as a means of the dramatic transformation of one person into another identity, ranks among the oldest manifestations of human culture. Nada Go-Go represents a second phase of second faces. It is a collection of contemporary tribal regalia that can be used for both ceremonial and practical purposes. Queen of Go-Go and Supreme Chief epitomize two types of Nada Go-Go users.
